Can you recommend some PSP games?
Well, I've decided to take the plunge and get a PSP. I'm pretty excited because after all of these years in gaming, this will be my FIRST hand-held system. So far, the only games I'm planning on getting is Tiger Woods, Twisted Metal and GTA when it's released. Are there any other good games out there?
Also, I've read that when the PSP was first released, that there were issues with dead pixels and dust being trapped underneath the screen. Has those been addressed at all? I'm going to buy the PSP at Circuit City and get the extended 2 year warranty just to be safe. Thanks in advance. ![]() |

Mercury and Lumines
Though, don't bother with either if you don't like puzzle games.

Well i only have one game for my PSP so far and i love it. RidgeRacer is a pretty awesome game and looks great too. I'm about 70% through the game. I didn't play my PSP for over a month because of work and too tired to play it. Just got back into the system and i can't believe i stayed away from it that long. I'm hoping if i have enough money on my next paycheck (after payments/bills are payed off) to get HotShots Golf

Lumines is fantastic.
I also enjoy Untold Legends quite a bit, it's basically a Diablo-ish hack-'n-slash dungeon crawl, not the most original game, but darn fun, espeically on a portably.

Ditto on the suggestions for Mercury and Lumines. Both offer hours upon hours of gametime. I'd give the edge to Lumines, just because the music is amazing, and it's so simple to play, yet so damn addictive.
If you like racing games, Wipeout Pure is great. Cool music (even has an exclusive Aphex Twin track), and superfast speed. They've got extra levels, ships, and skins to download too, so it seems like the content for this game could go on fora long time. That said, where the hell are all the new games for this system? Every time I go to Best Buy, it seems like over 80% of the PSP rack is taken up by UMD movies, and the games are the same stuff that's been out for months.
