New DLC tomorrow for Rock Band.

"Still Alive" as performed by GlaDos

If you don't know the song go play Portal.

Oh yeah and it's free.
Its coming April 17th for PS3 owners because of the store redesign.

And depending how fast MS can get live up and running tomorrow, you can get it then

I got it just before I went to work this morning. So it was up on XBL before 6:30 am.

Don't know why the PS3 has to get a redesigned RB music store. Oh well they'll miss next weeks DLC too.

Its their entire Store section, not just Rock Band store, and no content can go up for two weeks while the transition takes place.

Yeah I downloaded it at 2 am so it was up pretty much right on April 1st. Of course I ended up downloading a bunch of other songs (their master plan worked with the free song I ended up downloading about 4 more).

Ahhhh ok that makes more sense. Couldn't understand why they would need to redesign something that was just released last week.

I have done the "gone in for 1 thing come out with more" thing too with the RB DLC. But as of right now I've gotten everything I want.

I've been kind of dissapointed with the DLC the last fews weeks. The Arpil 1st one sucked. There was one with 2 bands I'd never heard of and one I didn't care about. And then the week with the 3 songs from that demo disc a while back that I already had. I'm not really complaining too much as they've done a fantastic job so far (especially compared to GH3) but I just hope it gets back to the usual quality level next week. Should find out tomorrow what it will be Tuesday.

AWESOME! New DLC for 4/15 is some I've been waiting on!

"Call Me" by Blondie (master)

"Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd (master)

"Message in Bottle" by the Police (master)

Yeah 1138 alot of the DLC can be disappointing but when you get crap like the "Thrash pack" everything after that looks great. However when you buy a game called Rock band and you get 6 songs by Boston I can't see how that in anyway shape or form can be called disappointing. I mean your bound to like a couple of those 6. Plus April 1st was a free song so...

These last 2 weeks "Still Alive" and the junk that was on the OXB disk which was released this past week should be forgiven I guess. The Dev team was on vacation from what I understand. I'm betting withing the next week or 2 we'll see that oft refered to "full album" whether it be "Whos Next" or "Nevermind".

Are the drums collapsible? Or do you need to store them fully assembled? I just wouldn't have a lot of space these.

They come apart ratehr easily.

umainebearman: Like I said, I'm not complaining too much because over all, it has been very good. I had hardly ever had a week I didn't like something until the last month or so I've been dissapointed. Boston was very nice. I'm just a little saddened by the reality finally hitting that not every week is going to be great for everyone. But I love this game. The gf and I play this all the time still. And we're planning on having a big RB party specifically to pass the 58 song set list.

They finally announced a European release, 23 May, and are doing it as an instrument bundle, with no game, and the game on its own. RRP is £130 for the instruments and £50 for the game, so £180 for everything, £100 more than you pay for this in the US.

Thats just not cool.

I remember visiting England 10 years or so ago & purchasing a few cds. £30 EACH! Which at the time of conversion = $76 CDN or $70 USD. I would boycott electronic stores where you are. Seriously

Rock Bank bundle = £180

Wonder how many US residents would pony up $360 bucks to get it?

I wouldn't have. But I didn't have to. Of course this is a lot bigger country where the bundles and games would way outsell any of the European bundles so... Someones gotta pay more for the manufacturing and shipping costs.

It's a 360 timed exclusive in Europe too. It's due on the PS3 and PS2 a few months later.

First full album will be Judas Priest's 1982 Album 'Screaming For Vengeance' and will be out on Tuesday Apr 22 for 1200 Microsoft Points

DLC Week April 22nd: First full album- Judas Priest! - Rock Band - Forums

Its nice to finally have the full albums coming, but people have been screaming for Nirvana and The Who for so long that this seems just a bit disappointing.

RockBand.com says that there will be a lot more info coming in the next few weeks regarding The Who and other complete albums.

No thanks.

Will wait for something real good. I don't have the space to waste on my HDD for crap like this!

Yeah, that's kind of a weird pick. I sometimes wonder about some of the songs they include, could it be that they are bargains when it comes to royalties?

Still content on RB is way beyond GH3 currently.

My biggest gripe with RB (One reason I rarely throw it in the 360) is the actual control of the game in general. Being a guitar hero freak, (Over 2700 wins now) ...RB is lightyears behind GH3 in terms of simple things like hammer on's & pull off's (Miss every one btw) & basically the layout of them horizontal notes is um.. So, yeah, kinda takes the fun right out of the game for me. So what if they have all the best artists songs if ya can't get 100% notes hit on any of them!

If the gameplay was identical to GH2 or GH3, I bet I'd never leave RB.

Sorry, I'm a perfectionist on guitar & when I miss a note I know I hit, it just ain't fun.

This week's DLC includes

This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race -- Fallout Boy
Date With The Night -- Yeah Yeah Yeahs
It Hurts -- Angels & Airwaves

meh :S

does anyone know if Arms Race or It Hurts are edited to be family friendly? Radio friendly non-swearing edits = no sale

Thats the truth, RB is better in every single way.

As far as your gripe with the HO/POs.... I haven't hand any trouble with the RB hammer ons and pull offs. As a matter of fact I hit more of the RB ho/po than I do or did in GH 2 or 3. Horizontal notes... not really sure what you mean by that one??

I haven't put GH in my 360 in over 2 months. I'm thinking its trade in time for that paper weight. Maybe if Red Octane would support it with some actual DLC then it would be worth playing.

Sorry but no way is RB better at "gameplay" than GH3 with regard to guitar playing.

Better songs less distracting back grounds, better features for a group. DLC which contributes to the games longevity, which leads to more game play puts GH to shame. So yeah I'd say that the everything about RB over shadows Guitar Heros 1 trick pony. But of course thats my opinion. I suppose you could ask everyone else on here that has played both which is better.

Why? both have there pro's & con's

RB's con just so happens to be guitar. At first I didn't mind missing a few notes here or there cause the songs rock! Now that I have played for months now, I still miss notes because of the lame placement of Ho & Po's + the note bar is almost half the size of GH3 because they went horizontal instead of round. I might be coming off a bit strong on this issue but aside from that, it is a great game & a better multi-player game than GH for sure. No argument there from me. Same with DLC. I have downloaded 70+ songs already & plan to get more.
