Check your new game before you leave the store

You don't want to end up with this happening to you

The only time I buy games at Gamestop is if I want a used game. Still, that was pretty sketchy. Kind of like when Jiffy Lube was charging for oil changes when they never actually changed the oil filter.

My question is why would the demo be scribbled out in the first place.

Well I can't access the story while at work (it's a game website which they filter) but during my time when I worked at Gamestop parttime we had people try to trade in demo games with the new games packaging and also people buy the new game and then try to return it with the demo in it. Some of the demos are the same disc art as the new ones but only the word demo on it.
