Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility List Expanded

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/back...ygameslist.htm

About 90 new titles.

Still no Pro Fishing Challenge. But at least they're still working on it. With such a long wait since the last update and with Sony scaling back their BC commitment I was wondering if Microsoft were quietly stopping their BC work too.

I just don't get the backwards compatibility allure anymore. Especially with the 360. There are so many new games to play I don't have the desire or time to play some old ass Xbox 1 games. The only exception would be some RPGs that don't lose their charm.

I play old games all the time... same thing as watching Die Hard 20 years later, some fun never gets old.

Nothing good on that list though, unfortunately. I don't know what I was wanting anyway, all the Xbox games I still own already work.

The last good baseball game (MVP) was on the original Xbox. That is one I have been holding out for.

Unfortunately no old sport titles especially ones made by EA will be BC. Simple reason they want you to buy the new one (even if it's not as good as the previous one).

You dind't look at the list, did you?

Lots of sports games this time around, several of which were made by EA:

FIFA World Cup 2006
FIFA Soccer 06
Fight Night Round 3
MVP Baseball 2003
MVP Baseball 2004
Nascar Thunder 2002
Nascar Thunder 2003
NBA Street 3
NHL 2005

These are the new EA sports games, and there's some already on the list from before.

Besides, I don't think it's up to EA whether Microsoft make their game backwards compatible. It's my understanding it's all done in-house by MS.

This might apply for football or hockey, but in the case of baseball, EA no longer has the rights, so making their MVP series (up to 05) backward compatible can only benefit EA by keeping peeps away from MLB2K series.

True, I totally forgot that 2K Sports had the baseball rights. I don't play many sports games. The occasional hockey game is about it for me. However, I did just pick up All Pro Football 2k8 for $5 used.
Is it up to the publisher of the game or Microsoft which games will be backward compatible or not?

Several publishers have said they have no input or decision in the matter, though some others have said they pushed MS and it worked (Psychonauts).

From what I know its all up to Microsoft, but I am sure their ear is given to certain more influential($$$) companies when they make requests.
