Guitar Hero 1, 2 and 80's for the Wii?

Does anyone know if these games will come out for the Wii? I bought Guitar Hero III for the wife and really like it. Now I want to play the others and I have thought about buying a PS2 to get them. PS3 is out of my price range. Has anyone heard anything about possible versions of these for the Wii?

GH 2 doubt it very highly. I think there was talk of it at one point but now seems a little late. GH 1 even less likely considering the age of the game and Rocks the 80s, well that was an over priced song pack that only had a couple of good songs on it, mostly covers of course.

Unfortunately or fortunately I am a child of the 80's and I love a lot of the 80's music.

I really doubt you'll get the older ones on Wii... you might not even get future releases, depending on how next-gen they go in certain areas (see Rock Band).

The Wii is not really a new console on par with the 360 and PS3, it's a different beast.

That said, I'm sure GH4 will have a Wii version, so you can wait for that. Also, Rock Band is on PS2 as well as PS3, so you could get that.

Well what I meant was the songs where good but these particular versions (the covers) where not worth the price you pay for the Rock the 80s disk.

Well take it for what you want but the last EGM has a rumour that they are working on possibly 2-4 Guitar Hero type game releases this year alone. So you wonder if they will do a country, 70's, 90's or whatever release along with the GH4 release . . . which is a given

A country version full of

Johnny Cash!

I would like to see a 60's version with Zepplin, Pink Floyd etc.

Hey umainebearman I don't worry about that. I know a lot of people that can't stand the stuff from the 80's at all. Cover songs are rarely as good as the originals.
