Got my tracks transferred after work today. Simple and painless. I love that they made this feature available, the thought of swapping discs out was not appealing at all, and being able to integrate all of my favorites from RB1 into RB2 setlists is gonna make for some awesome Friday nights!

Until Harmonix extracts there collective heads from there asses and gets the Rush album out then all DLC is labeled as crap. However considering this 3 pack its an extra helping of said crap. Its like Red Octane has taken over in Rock Band Land.

I'm thinking there probably saving the good stuff for after the release of Rockband 2. Why release now when you can wait two weeks and have it go towards the goal of 500 songs by the end of the year.

Why in the world do I have to wait almost a MONTH to get the RB2:SE with the instruments?

Is it even worth it? I've heard they're better made, and wireless. My folks live near me, and come over on the weekends, and I think I'm going to finally break down and buy rock band as a great party game for when family and friends visit.

But ugh, 1 month between RB2's release date and the pack with the controllers? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!

If you don't already have the Rock Band instruments, it's probably worth it to wait. I imagine a lot of people are going to just keep using their current instruments, and will just pick up the disc.

Disc for me and I'll get the new guitar later either in the SE box or buy it separately. At least I'll supposedly have the Drum Rocker by the 20th when I am planning on having my big RB2 shindig.

Wow. Firefox actually has Shindig in its dictionary. It is not coming up as a misspelled word :p

UPS says that it is guaranteed to arrive 7 days after it ships and it will ship this week.

I'm wondering what is going on with Harmonix? first the Rush album is extremely late and now they switch around the SE box/single disc release dates. Whats next? maybe they are overworking their small staff?

Yeah that's my thinking. It just sucks it's over a month delay for the SE version. Which is fairly lame considering the game will be out, the individual instruments will be out, but why can't they put them all in a box.

I'm just getting the game not the instruments so I don't have to worry about waiting.

As far as releasing good DLC.... they don't have to wait for RB 2 to come out. All the DLC works with RB1 and 2. I actually just replaced my GH3 gibson with a new one because I knew playing with the RB strat was NOT an option. As good as they are saying the new RB 2 strat is, well it looks (new paint same controller) the same so unless I hear different I'm staying far far away from the RB guitar.

I'm just gonna ditch the SE and get RB2 and 2x guitars. Which 3rd party controllers do you guys recommend?

The red octane GH3 gibson for the guitar no question. You should be able to find it at any B&M store or goto Redoctane.com and get one for $49.99.

The new RB2 strat might be better than the RB1 strat but to make it even reasonable usable for me they would have to do a huge redesign as far as buttons and strum bar.

Thanks, I ordered a Gibson and a standard Xplorer guitar. I'll try both, I learned to play RB1 (on my roommate's copy) using the Xplorer, so I'm used to it.

I'll try both out and let my dad use the other. I figure this will be a good winter party game.

My copy shipped, too bad my guitars won't be here till AFTER the game arrives.

I guess I need to "borrow" a copy of RB1 and import the songs.

You'll also need to borrow 400 MS points to complete the transfer.

As content as I am to get my copy tomorrow I'd love to have it tonight after I get out of work but since it is a 360 only release there's no place in Savannah doing a midnight sale.

Love it so far, but I'm a little concerned about the TON of songs to sort through. I wish there was an option to hide songs. Now I know I could just delete certain stuff I ripped to the hard drive from RB1, but I don't want them gone gone, I'd just like to hide them for group play. I'm pretty sure me n the boys aren't ever gonna play Celebrity Skin on a Friday night, but my sister may want to give it a go from time to time. Whatever, small concern.

Never been a RHCP fan. I think the songs that are already in the game and on DLC are plenty for me. Under the Bridge would probably be one of the last songs I downloaded if give a bunch of free songs.

The Rush album however I grabbed right quick though. Tome Sawyer, Limelight , and YYZ Soooooooo much better than the covers. I can actually stand to play Tom Sawyer and not gag. It was nice to see they slipped in a Cult song last week. Definitely would like more of them.

They have not released what the 20 tracks are yet. The lists that have been floating around on the net that say thats what the 20 are have all been pure speculation.
