Xbox Live Arcade Sales Chart + a question
I came across a sales chart for Xbox Live Arcade games and found myself pretty surprised at the huge sales of some of those titles.
Here's a small sample: Street Fighter 2 HD Turbo - 167,205 units sold - $2,508,705 Castle Crashers - 419,040 units sold - $6,285,600 Braid - 312,935 units sold - $3,209,025 Carcassone - 529,496 units sold - $5,294,963 Note: Those are not the biggest sellers, I just randomly grabbed some biggish ones. Also, those are all life-to-date figures, so I'm sure a new release like SF2HD will increase heftily over the coming weeks. That's the chart, now for the question: Does anyone know what Microsoft's fees are for putting a game on Xbox Live? I'm assuming it's some kind of percentage and now a one time fee, and I'm curious to know how much of the three million for Braid went to Microsoft and how much went to the developer. Oh, and in case you missed the link above, here's the entire chart: XBLA Sales Charts, 11/23/08-1/11/09 | VG Chartz.com - Video Game Sales Charts - Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Wii, PS3, Xbox360, DS, PSP, PC KM

I found the answer, sort of, to my question. It's an interesting read:
