Exclamation Gaming Bargains

Post in this thread your bargains you've found. I'll try to keep this top thread current with the newest deals.

Please do not post every sale you see, however. We don't need to list that twenty different stores have Tony Hawk 4 for $5 off. Just go for the big bargains. Please post your bargains in the same format I have done so it will be easy for me to cut and paste, thanks.

I'm still on the edge with that one. On one hand... <b>ten bucks!</b> On the other hand, I have five or so games I still need to play. That price will come by sometime later I'm sure.

Joe, you can make it a sticky if you think it will be better as such.

Ikea, I am not sure you'll find it for that price again soon. I am certainly shocked at it, because it really is a good game. I'd say pick it up if you have the extra cash, you can always play it some other time.

That's the same thing I'm thinking. I'm currently playing Medal of Honor: Spearhead and Hitman 2 on the PC and still haven't even started playing my Christmas copies of....

Splinter Cell
Medal of Honor : Frontline
James Bond 007 : Nightfire
Metroid Prime
Metal Gear Solid 2 : Substance ( just got via $19.99 special)

Xbox

Best Buy (both online & in store) has Star Wars Jedi Starfigher (xbox) for 19.99

BTW, elwood, might make your life easier if you use the "pre" with the bent brackets around it HTML tag before and after your typed text. That will allow the prices to line up even if they are not the same amount of digits. You probably will need to adjust the font size too.

I should mention that I was also told that the EB deal was over. I haven't tested this though.

Keep in mind most of the price stickers probably aren't changed. I saw Buffy for $24.99 but when I had him scan it it came up $9.99.

This is definitely worth looking into. I played the PDO demo and it was awesome. Plus, IGN gave it a 9.2 out of 10 and called it "the best rail shooter ever."

Maybe I'll pick up Serious Sam now that it's $15.

Also, Elwood... MeidaPlay? Where's that? I always go to MediaPlay. :p

No Media Plays I know of near me in NJ, though there are plenty of Sam Goody and Suncoast shops.

Here's a good one from GameStop:

XBOX Instant Library Pack

You get Halo, Project Gotham Racing, Dead or Alive 3, Blood Wake, Nightcaster, and an extra controller for only $299.99! If you bought them seperately they would tally up to $170, so by buying this bundle you are saving $-130!

Wait a minute. Do you or do you not get an Xbox with it? Because otherwise I, (and most everyone else,) could probably buy all that seperately for ~$130. But they're charging $300 for it.

That's why Ruined said you are saving a negative $130. It is truly a great ripoff.

Looks like Circuit City jumped the gun with a great (invalid) offer this week. Devil May Cry 2 comes with a free copy of the original DMC; only problem is that DMC2 is scheduled for a January 28th release date. Idiots. :p

Is there any reason that a launch title like Halo should not be down to around $20? I know it's a great game but at this point they're just being greedy......

Probably just simple economics... If the game is still selling fast at the $40-$50 price point, why lower the price?

Halo will probably stay up there until Halo 2.
Just look at GTA3 and GTA:VC. GTA3 stayed in the 40/50 range forever until VC came along.

But, if you watch the print ads and look online you'll occasionally find a good deal.

Probably will be a straight port, (just improved graphics/sound)... What didn't you like about it? I heard a lot of negative stuff about the game, but most of the major review sites gave it 8/10 or above.

State of Emergency was fun for about 3 days. After that it was just more of the same. Unloading on a crowded street with a minigun is very fun. But that only lasts so long. I would say that it is good for a rental, and MAYBE a $20 purchase. Anything more than that, and you're getting ripped off.

After about an hours worth of playing I don't ever want to go back. The gameplay is so repetitive and overall, this game wouldn't be worth $20.

I read Bloodrayne is $20 at EB with a $20 EB rebate, making it free (minus sales tax). I'll check it out Friday on my next EB AC cards run.

I still intend to buy both but this game seems like it'd be really fun with four players. It reminds me a lot of that old NES volleyball game.

There's a music/rythm game called Gitaroo Man for PS2 that looks really fun that has been claimed as being $10 at Best Buy. The tag says $30 though (as I saw while picking up Beach Spikers.)

I'm going tomorrow to verify.
