$20 for Morrowind. If you like RPGs at all, you must own this game. One of the best RPG games I've ever played (up there with Ultima 7). For $20 its a steal.

Note I've heard rumors that they may be rereleasing Morrowind with both expansion packs for $50 in the future, but I don't know if that will ever happen or not.

Truly a great game I played for quite a long-ass time, and will one day play again and maybe complete the main story... worth $20 for any RPG fan...

I'm still afraid to play it. I've heard too many horror about Morrowind killing Xboxes.

Maybe that's what happned to mine! No, if anything it was an Xbox magazine disc... Anyway, Morrowind does occasionally freeze after long periods of play, but it auto-saves, so nothing REALLY pain in the ass happens...

hehe morrowind doesn't kill the xbox. It just has a glitch where the Morrowind cache gets messed up sometimes (does not affect any other games). You just eject the disc and play 3 other games and it resets Morrowind's cache.

The way XBOX works is the hard drive is partitioned. One of the partions is for temporary game data, and it has 3 slots for temp data (I believe ~700mb per game). When you play an XBOX game, it reserves one of the slots. So, if you play the 3 same XBOX games, they each keep a slot and it doesn't have to reload anything into each game's temp cache. When you play a 4th game, the game you haven't played in the longest amount of time gets its temp cache wiped out and the 4th game gets that cache. In Morrowind's case, after playing for a long, long time the cache occasionally gets scrambled for some reason and it can lock up the game. Play 3 other games and it will reset the cache. Pain in the ass, but I've completed a good portion of the quests in Morrowind and only had the problem twice in probably 50+ hours of gameplay... Not really a big deal, especially when the game autosaves every time you rest (once every 5-10 mins)

On the other hand, I'd advise you to wait anyway because I heard a gold edition with the 2 new expansion packs may be coming out this fall for xbox.

If you liked Morrowind a lot, you should snag Pirates of the Carribean which is coming out soon... Very similar game by same company but with pirates
