That's kind of a shitty bundle if you don't like sports games.

Something like NCAA 2005 + Voodoo Vince might have been better.

Re-releasing the HALO pack for $149.99 would have sold better, I would think... maybe include a $10 coupon for Halo 2 as well...

Nah I think NCAA 2005 would draw more casual gamers to pick up an XBOX this year than Top Spin... So you get one casual gamer game (Ncaa 2005) and one gamer game (voodoo vince).

I still don't have an XBox and was hoping for a decent deal this holiday season, but I have no desire to play NCAA 2005 or Top Spin. A Halo+Halo2 deal would be nice.

See! A $150 pack with Halo, free Live for 3 months, and a $10 coupon for Halo 2 would fucking FLY out of stores... I know it.

I think MS is counting on Halo 2 to not only sell XBOXes by itself and sell well, but also to reinvigorate sales of Halo 1 for those who haven't played it yet.

But wouldn't it sell a lot more XBOX's if it had a measly little $10 coupon in it? I think so.

Maybe, but the August 2004 NPD best selling console games are now in, and the #9 best selling console game across all platforms was Halo 1

Oh, and by the way anyone looking to get this from EB should ask specifically for the bundle. An email was sent around for corprate to clear out the old ones first before selling those unless asked, I am willing to bet that Gamestop is doing the same thing.

BTW these are in stores now, we have like 6 of them in atm.

For you Canucks out there, the Canadian bundle has Amped 2 instead of NCAA Football 2005. Top Spin is also included, like with the U.S. version.

Still a little sports heavy I think, even if Amped 2 is more of an arcadey sports game. I guess a market survey or something have shown that sports is what will move consoles this holiday season.

Oh, also, anyone considering getting any of these bundled games soon may want to wait a little. The JSRF/Sega GT dual-discs have been selling for real cheap, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing will happen with these bundle discs.
