Prices on Half-Life 2

What prices have you seen on Half-life 2? It seems most stores puts it at 54.99$ I noticed that MratedGames.com have it for 39.99$ which I think is pretty sweet, but I don't know if I trust them. I also saw that buy.com have it for 44.99$ but then I have to pay tax which will bring it to around 50$.......

Have anyone seen good prices from major stores (online or B&M)?

Good move, that's $5 over SRP.

Of course, we all know that Wal-Mart has the best bargains!

The Collector's Edition retails for $79.99 (extra bits: t-shirt, HL Source, small Prima guide), so Ruined did get quite the bargain. You're thinking of the regular boxed edition.

Gogamer.com is now selling the Collector's Edition for $59.90. Price should last for a couple of days.

I'm not buying HL 2 until after Xmas when I have my new video card, but is the collector's edition worth it? I mean, I definitly want the original HL with updated graphics, but will that be a patch that can be downloaded for free later? Or will it only ever be available in the collectors set?

Circuit City is having a sale on the standard version this upcoming weekend - Dec. 9,10, and 11. It will be $44.99 instead of the $54.99. That's when I plan on buying it.

Keep in mind that's dec 9,10, and 11. Don't go in there before because they most likely won't know what you are talking about.

I doubt HL: Source will be available for free later for those who bought the standard edition in a store. The Collector's Edition really isn't worth it (even though I like the t-shirt). The best value is probably the HL2 Silver purchase via Steam, since you get everything that's available via Steam as of now plus DoD: Source when it's released.

What you don't get is a CD or DVD, so you have to download all that content.
