Sound dropout T2U, Abyss, Frighteners

Hello, first time here and I have had some problems with my Pioneer 525.
Problem occurs with T2U, Abyss SE and Frighteners.

T2U: last chapter where Arnold raises his hand and thumb suddenly sound dropout for a second and then returns. Problem only occurs with DD 2.0. I tested with 5.1 and the problem was not there.

Abyss: in the documentary, about 13 minutes into it, sound drops out and never comes back unless I press stop and play again. Pausing, fast forwarding/rewinding won't help.

Frighteners: I only watched the movie once so I can't say for granted if it's a permanent glitch or not. But last chapter, 5 seconds before the end credits, sound drop out and never returns back. It acts like the Abyss problem. Can be fixed by rewatching chapter, or pressing stop and then play again.

Last, when the problems occur, the dolbydigital light on the DVD dissapears like the DVD player thinks there is no sound at all.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the forum Shompola!

Does the Abyss mater whether it's DD 2.0 or 5.1?

Shompola, do you have another DVD player you can try out to see if it's your player?

It might be time for an upgrade.....

Peace....

I don't think I can change DD 2.0 and 5.1 on the Abyss documentary.
And my player is multiregion, I did spend some money on it two years ago
I do have a PCDVD player but frankly I have never used it!. Maybe I should. Thanks guys for the input, really appreciate it.
