SHREK AUDIO PROBLEMS?

I was watching the SECOND disc last night of "Shrek" in DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 and it was giving me some annoying audio problems. At the start of the film, when SHREK exits the bathroom, the music opens and suddenly fades to the background, however it sounds odd; It'll snap in and out like a crowd from the background.

This happens a few times on the disc. I'm using a crappy GO VIDEO VHS-DVD player with an optical cable, I've also got an RCA 5 disc DVD player hooked up with a COAX cable..Has anyone experienced any Audio problems with the discs?

Welcome to the forum STYPEE!

This problem happens with both of your players?

Thanks for the welcome

I played another disc on the same player and started noticing some problems. I've only had this GO VIDEO thing for a few months, anyway, I popped the same disc (THE CANBERRIES:BEHIND THE SKIN DVD) in my RCA and noticed no problems. The RCA had no trouble at all. This is the first time I've ever encountered a problem with this player; I guess it would make sense to try the disc on the RCA..duh!

I'll let you know, have a filling it has to do with some connection, I checked behind my system and can't figure out what it's all about..

Funny you mention, this Stypee. I watched it in DTS and one scene, I forget which one, the voice of Lord Farquaad came through the center speaker and no other sound or music from the other speakers. It was very brief.

I have a Sony DVP S560D
