GO VIDE0 DVD/COMBO PLAYER...
I really don't know why I spent the money and bought this. You can't copy movies and it's a pretty crappy machine in my opinion. They came out with a clever LOCK UP that enables as soon as you attemp to use a disc with MACROVISION.
As for the unit itself, if your a consumer, your going to have trouble with the menus. Its a monumental pain in the ass to set anything up, from recording something on televion to setting a particular function. The only good thing is it somehow hides those mysterious lines from DVD'S you decided to recored to VHS for keepsake and sell the actually DVD on HALF.COM. I've got to many VCRS and DVD PLAYERS to begin with, I feel like a total idiot with this one. Side note: Do they still have the "secret" features on the APEX player? I got one awhile ago but I'm not sure if they got rid of that "feature" yet, how do you get to it? ------------------ "I'm somewhere where I don't know where I am" HOMER SIMPSON ....BEHOLD THE POWER OF CHEESE |

The secret menu is only on the APEX 600A dvd players manufactured before December 2000. The label on the back will show. I forgot off hand how to get to it, but I do have it written down and will post it when I can get to it. I'm not sure if any other APEX models have the secret menu. The the one on the 600A does have the feature to disable the Macrovison as well as being region-free.
