"No valid DVD Decoder found" BUT......

Hey guys, I've got a Sigma Designs Hollywood Plus DVD Hardware Decoder that I can't seem to get working with Interactual DVD Player software. It gives a "no valid DVD Decoder found" although I can go in system information and this is what it says -->

Decoder Provider: Sigma Designs Inc.
Decoder Type: MCI driver for REALmagic
Decoder Name: C:\WINDOWS\System32\MCIFMP32.DLL
Decoder Version: 4.06.139 (Build 139)
Decoder Driver Date: June 14, 2001, 07:36 PM
Navigator Name: Sigma
Navigator Version: 1
Is DVD Device Found: Yes

Well good god, it says it finds it, but won't play. My operating system is Windows XP. Oh, and DVDs play fine as long as I'm using the Hollywood Plus DVD Application. So I know that the DVD works obviously. This wouldn't be a big deal but I want to see the *new* StarWars trailer that you need to use your DVD player to see, but the Hollywood Plus DVD doesn't support that.
HELP

The Decoder card only works with it's own software. It doesn't work with other DVD playing software.

I got the same freakin' problem, only with a lot of my discs that have Interactual crap on 'em. Don't laugh, but I'm using a Creative Labs PC-DVD Encore 8x w/Dxr3. I'm assuming this thing ain't the cat's meow in pc-dvd simply 'cuz I bought it at Wal Mart in the first place. But, I'm familiar with other Creative products and find them to be a relatively reliable company. Thing is, everytime I go to Interactual's or Creative's sites, they have 0 on this subject. (Except on Interactual's site they actually have a "trouble-shooter" that is as much help as a car without wheels or tires... or a steering wheel.) Sorry, got carried away there... thing is, I've seen other topics in other forums asking the same thing and they all get the same response: "Update your drivers", or no reply at all. What's the deal? For the love Pete, someone, anyone, tell me what to do! And please dont' tell me, "Get a new dvd player.", 'cuz, honest to God, I might just snap. I'd reaaally like to get on that Star Wars DVD only page and check it out, but, nope, can't... Interactual doesn't live here anymore.
Sorry it's such a long post, but it's easy to get frustrated with this stuff. Kinda like buyin' a new game and finding out it ain't gonna fly with that video card you just bought 2 months ago. Or, it's so buggy ya gotta wait a month for a freakin' patch. Ya, that stuff bothers me too.
