X-files Season 4 Disc 5 problems

I don't know if anyone has experienced this problem, but I wondered if there was a way to send in a defective disc to get a new one. I have tested the disc on two DVD players, and both have the same problem, so it is definately not my player. At a certain point in the second episode, everything freezes and fuzzes out. But if I go two or three chapters later, it's fine. It's got nothing to do with the dual layers, it's not even halfway into the disc. Does anyone else know is there have been more reports of this problem?

I also have this problem with disc 5, but mine also freezes at the end of chapter 4 in the first episode and at chapter 3 of the third episode. If I go to the next chapter, it's fine, but there's always more than a minute that is lost.

I forgot to mention that I've tested the disc on both my DVD players(Sony and Pioneer) and my PS2, and all have the same problem with this disc.

Yeah, I've tested mine on three DVD players now, the DVD-ROM in my parent's Compaq, a Samsung DVD-711, and PS2. All have no problems with any of the discs except that one, on which they all freeze as of episode 2 or 3. I wonder if there's a way to send the defective disc back for a new one.

I, too, had problems but with the 6th disc, last 2 episodes. Sent that single disc back (Northamericandvd.com), and they replaced it. But same problem! The problem occured on my Panasonic RP91, but not on my Sony S530D. So, I had the Panasonic checked out. Turns out it needed 2 parts. Now, that disc plays fine!
