Apocalypse Now Redux defect

I was just wondering, but is anyone else having trouble with Apocalypse Now Redux? I went through 2 copies in the last two days. My DVD player (Genereal Electric model 1106-PB) Read the disc just fine till it gets to a certain chapter. For both copies I have had, it has been different chapters. It will start off skipping a little, then the sound will start messing up, then it will pause for a few minutes and just stop. I tried another disc of mine and it did fine. Possibly a defective disc?

I have encountered the same problem with my disc. I have the 1105P for testing at work, and at times around Ch. 13, the video pauses and the audio stutters. I'm pretty sure that this player is illiterate as well. The CC is misspelled terribly. It's a player compatibility issue. I'm still watching it right now, so if I find anymore problems, I will let you know.

Thanks for your input. I will be taking my 3rd copy back today and get my money back. I watched it last night and it worked fine until it got to the end. Then it messed up. I will have to wait till a different date to get "Apocalypse Now Redux" after it has been out a while. I emailed Paramount about it, but I don't think that they'll responed to my email.

I wonder if there is a bad batch of discs out there. I have a GE 1105P, and Apocalypse Now Redux plays perfectly.

I assume that there had to be a bad batch of Apocalypse Now Redux dvds in my area. I do hate it, but what can you do? I have decided to wait a little further down the road before I purchase "ANR" again. Disclover has ANR on DVD and his player is a GE. So I know it's not a compatibilty issue with my GE DVD player (GE-1106pb). I contacted Suncoast about it and they too, said it may have been a disc issue. I believe them to be correct. I emailed Paramount about it but they never responded.
