Star Wars Ep1 Comm.
Ok I am watching the Ep one commantary. with my PS2 as the dvd player cause it seems both my DVD players have pooped out. But the commentary seems to fade in and out with who ever is talking. Lucas is loud and clear rick McCullam is to soft and so is everyone else. is this normal on the Commantray?

Well, if you have it playing in DD, I believe each voice is coming from it's own speaker. Maybe your speaker levels are set too far apart?

It's been about a month since I listened to the SW:Ep 1 commentary, but I didn't notice anything wrong or bad with it. Nothing out of the ordinary that I wouldn't expect from a commentary track. It came through fine on my RCA RC5210P, hooked up to my Sony Dolby Surround receiver.
Could your receiver be augmenting speaker output from one speaker? I have my Dolby Surround setup augmenting my center channel by about 8 decibels, so that the dialogue comes through clearly without excessively loud sound effects. Maybe you need to switch your speaker setup where all channels are receiving the same output levels. My receiver has multiple settings that allow me to change speaker settings at the push of a button. Maybe your receiver does too? ![]()
