THE GREAT RACE sound problems

The DVDFILE review of THE GREAT RACE failed to mention the goofs in the sound mix on the English track. The boos, cheers, and whistles on the "magic lantern" title card sequence are all mistimed, making it sound like Jack Lemmon is the cheered hero and Tony Curtis either the hissed villain or the hooted heroine!

Check the French language track to hear how it should sound.

Also, several of the sound effects are missing or mistimed in other parts of the film, notably the camera flashes and care backfires during the start of the big race in New York. Warner really goofed this one up.

Wow i jsut went back and noticed...Curtis's title card i think originally came up before Lemons so i think the sound was right but the audio wasent because even on the dvd case Curtis is first and lemon is second. I was just going to post how increadibly good the picture transfer was though.
