Could someone please tell me exactly what is defective on the Godfather trilogy bonus disc?

Tom and Jason,

Paramount has publicly declared that the Godfather Collection might contain material that is not accessible by some DVD players.

Why Paramount did not address the compatibilty issue prior to release, I don't know.

We've spoken to Paramount on behalf of all those of you who report having trouble with your Bonus Disc from the studio's Godfather DVD Collection. The studio will be happy to exchange the defective discs for new ones. To receive a replacement, mail your disc (and only the disc) in a jewel case to:

Paramount Home Entertainment
5555 Melrose Avenue
Hollywood CA 90038.

If you have any questions, you may call the consumer hotline at 323-956-8070.

I just noticed today that my Bonus disc seems to be defective. I called Liz, and she was very helpful. She also gave me a "building" and room number to specify in the address to aid in the package getting to her.

I haven't watched it yet, but I'm super impressed with their speed!

hi there!

i'm planning to get godfather boxset this christmas and i was wondering if the problem you guys mentioned about defective bonus disc in 2001 still happens?

if i get the same problem although i hope that i don't, will Liz Haggar of Paramount replace the disc even if i do not come from usa? i am planning to purchase at amazon.com and i learned before that this is one of the problems that amazon do not replace because it is just so many! granting that it's the case, can i go directly to Paramount since the problem began with them?

i hope you can answer my questions as it will help me decide if i should get the dvd. otherwise if it'll cause so much hassle, i will forego getting it.
