"Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" Sound Dropout?

My "Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" has a brief sound dropout at 62:27-62:30. The "Dolby Digital" indicator goes out on my Pioneer DVL-909.

It could be skipping some frames too.

It could be a layer change, but doesn't act like most layer changes I'm familiar with with this player.

Does anyone else have this glitch or can confirm a layer change at this point?

Thanks.

Wow, your timing is impeccable....

I just popped this disc in for my son last night & noticed the same thing, though I failed to check what time the actual drop out occurs. I can vouch I didn't notice a layer change when it did drop-out! I still have this DVD sitting on top of my entertainment center so I'll give ya a report at that 62:27 mark maņana!

JVC XV-SA70BK Progressive player! *knock on wood* haven't had a problem with any Disney DVDs to date!

Oh, and yeah Notanumber, it dropped out in the same place! I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it though. a) its my son's DVD. b) I bought it at a flea market (brand new) for like $12.

Thanks, no sense in exchanging the disc then, if perhaps they're all like that. Perhaps Disney will have a 'recall' exchange later.

Apparently a number of recent DVDs (such as Pearl Harbor standard edition) contain new Dolby Digital flags that cause dropouts on certain receivers. Dolby has stated future chipsets will not have this problem, and that some of the discs were being repressed with new soundtracks to correct the problem for those with the incompatible receivers. Known receivers include many Onkyo receivers and the Denon AVR-1602 and 1802. (I think it was a certain Cirrus Logic chipset that specifically had the problem).

FYI, I don't get the sound dropout using a Panasonic A120 DVD player and Parasound AVC-2500u preamp/decoder.
