Elton John: One Night Only Live. The Greatest Hits

I'm not much of an Elton John fan, however, I do like some of his music. And this DVD had alot of the songs I wanted, mostly from the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road CD. So I picked it up and had some 'glitch' problems with it. My DVD player is an XBox.

This is what happened: throughout the concert, the dvd would randomly just speed up for no apparent reason, then return to normal speed. Of course, this would offset the audio so that the audio/video presentation would be out of sync momentarily.

I returned the disc and received another one and the same annoying problem occurred. I returned that one and received a refund in the form of in-store credit. Other dvds I have used in the XBox since then have not had this or any other problems.

If anyone else has had a glitch problem with this dvd or with playing dvds on an XBox, feel free to post here.

Travis,

Did you try playing that DVD in any other hardware except the XBox?

Sounds like it might be a compatibility issue, and testing the same disk in another type of machine would confirm/deny that.

I haven't heard of any other Elton DVD problems or player conflicts.

Nope. At one time, I did have a second player (a toshiba) but I eventually gave it to my dad shortly after I bought the XBox. It probably is a compatibility issue with the player, so I think next time a glitch occurs I'll try to get a buddy to play the dvd on his player and see if he gets the same problem too.

Its ashame it didn't work correctly because this dvd really sounded quite good when it wasn't screwing up.
