Columbia Tristar DVDs revert to Dolby Surround rather than DD 5.1!

In this case, when you first play CT DVDs in the past, the audio reverts to the sucky Dolby Surround 2.0 track. What track number is it for the audio for DD 5.1? I think it's number two.

Besides when you first play Hollow Man (the original version), the music track comes up first.

Also, at the very end of that disc, the Columbia Logo doesn't fade out. That's the end of the movie. Does the SUperbit Deluxe version include the fade out?

J-fen,

This doesn't sound like much of a glitch. Are you just referring to the order in which the tracks are encoded from DVD to DVD? I think that doesn't necessarily depend on the studio, but more so on the company that did the authoring of the DVD itself.

Actually, this can be controlled by the DVD player as well. I believe I read where some of the newer Denon DVD players could be configured to "default" to the DD 5.1 audio track, if present.

Peace...

I set my dvd player to go to the DD 5.1 track on startup. On pioneer players it's called condition memory.

or better yet, go to the menu , use your playstation thumb, and actually change the audio to 5.1 on your own
