Speed 5 Star Disc 1

I know there's a thread called, "Speed 5 Star Disc 2", but my question is on disc 1:

In one scene--it's number 15 on the chapter selection menu--where Keanu and Sandra are talking about Dennis' character, Keanu mentions something about a game and if he wins, the game starts again tomorrow, and Sandra responds by saying she's not available to drive tomorrow.

Right after that scene, there is a pause (i.e. the picture pauses as if someone hit the pause button on my remote) for one to two seconds before it cuts to the shot of the police officers talking in the police station.

Is there supposed to be a pause in the part where I just described? For people who own the Five Star Collection, is there a pause on your DVD, or is it only on mine?

I own a Panasonic DVD-RV32.

I have not yet obtained a copy of speed yet but the problem you describes sounds like a simple layer change. MOst players don't have must trouble with layer changes but they will sometimes trigger a pause of a few seconds.

I just read somewhere on the internet that at the end of chapter 15, it changes layers--the DVD is a dual-layer disc--so, that could explain for the pause.
