American Beauty DVD Problems - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

I was just watching my American Beauty DVD and when I got to chapter 15 the the screen appeared to break up into squares of different colors and locked up. I tried jumping ahead a few chapters but no luck, is this a common problem with American Beauty or do I have a bad disc. I just bought this disc 2 weeks ago and this was my first chance to watch it. If this has been discussed before forgive me but I haven't had this problem before.

i have not had this problem with my AB disc.

bad copy is my guess?

Did you clean the disk? Also have you tried that same disk on another player?

I haven't heard of that disk being problematic, and it's been out quite a while.

If it glitches on another machine, then you got a bad copy, if it doesn't, it was a compatibility issue with your DVD player.

Please post your DVD player make and model. I've watched American Beauty several times without any pauses or pixelation or anything....

Has it EVER Played ok or is ths your first time viewing it?

I took my copy of American Beauty back to Best Buy yesterday and got a new disc which I watched last night with no problems. Thanks for your help.
