On the second disc there is a scene around the 1 hour 5 minute mark where a woman is running up some stairs and all sound goes silent for a few seconds then comes back to normal. I've repalced the disc because the first disc had the same problem. I have a Toshiba SD1600 player.

Anybody else have this disc and have the same problem?

My copy suffers from the same problem. Since I was watching on a PS2, I thought it might be my player, but alas.

It is -possible- that this is not an error, but was meant to be for dramatic effect. I never saw the miniseries on TV, so I can't say. If I had been directing, I might have done that sequence silent, but I would have also put it into slow motion, and more than likely had an echoing heavy breathing sound, or a heartbeat. Just silence seems like a glitch.

happens to with me, however, i am positive it is there on purpose. if you listen when the sound returns there is a slight fade up.
i did have to listen twice though. but hey, thats the directors vision right?!
