Music From Lifehouse
Hello out there,
I might be the only one who has purchased this title. If I'm not please tell me if yours (i've tried 2 copies so far) hiccups every few minutes or so. I have an Apex 1500. Yeah, it's cheap but I can spend more on disks! I never had a problem with any clean disks. Hey, from what I read here, it doesn't sound like a major brand like Pioneer is too disk friendly! |

the music itself
Hi mlemmond,
The overall presentation is a bit lacking for me. I was expecting from one description that it would have Pete discussing some of the songs placement and relationship to the whole concept. I haven't heard every second, but I have seen each intro/begining for every tune...very little in this regard. None of the multimedia that is supposedly an integral part of the overall concept. Basically, just a concert of music from Lifehouse, as the title says. There are a few new songs, six I think. Arrangements are nothing elaborate. Overall, the stuff we know aren't significantly different from the versions we've heard for years. I don't know anything about the 4 disk LIfehouse Chronicle or the single cd versions. Some of the vocals, are not Pete. In his phrasing, some of the melody lines hit different notes than Roger's, giving a fresh and a bit more personal touch. You might want to rent it if you can first. I'll be a better judge when I am not distracted waiting for it to hiccup. Which is the cd you refer to, as the last? I am a big PT fan. Like much of his solo stuff.
