The Recruit problems?

Anyone having problems with the Recruit? My image keeps breaking up and the disk will lock up during the part at the farm where Pacino is first talking to the new recruits. I think it might just be the disk so I'm going to take it back tomorrow and exchange it. Just checking to see if anyone else is having any problems.

Remember to post your model of player, it'll help in figuring out if it's a defective disc or not.

I must say that the layer change on this disc is probably the worst one I've seen since Monsters, Inc.

Sorry!

But I exchanged the disk today and it works fine now. I'm glad it was only the disk and not my player.

Thanks

I watched this title on my Pioneer DV-656a and a friend's Toshiba SD-2710 and it played flawlessly on both, except the layer change WAS very noticable...

Peace...

A friend borrowed the copy of The Recruit that I rented from Netflix and watched on my Pioneer DV-656a and friend's Toshiba SD-2170 DVD players on his JVC (don't know the model) DVD player and it wouldn't play the disc AT ALL! It just tried to spin it up and then ejected the disc with a "disc unplayable" kind of message.

He tried wiping it clean (albeit on his shirt, ) to no avail.

Have others with JVC DVD players had problems with The Recruit?

Peace...
