Problem with Black Hawk Down disc 2

I bought the 'Black Hawk Down' disc when it came out, but didn't have a chance to look at it much before this weekend. I tried watching disc 2, however, three screens in, the message "All of the opinions expressed" blah blah blah popped up (it seemed extra odd considering there were no commentaries on that disc, and the disc that did have commentaries did not have a disclaimer message) ... and continued to pop up. The player cycles back to the beginning of Title #23, which is that disclaimer. I can't get past it (tried fast-forwarding, skipping, jumping to a different title). Today, I returned the disc, but my replacement copy has the same problem too. My player is a Cyberhome-500 (I tried setting it back to region-1, but that didn't work either).

Any ideas? I haven't been able to test it on another player yet, but I was hoping somebody else had had this problem.

I have this same DVD and I played part of disc 3 just fine. I'll try disc 2 when I get home tonight.

Peace...

I got it to work on my roommate's computer, on his computer it played the disclaimer in English, in French, and then the menu opened ... I guess it might be my player, but can anybody think of any ways I might be able to get around this?

I think I need to get a better regular player and just save the Cyberhome for other regions.

It spun up just fine on my Pioneer DV-656a. Your Cyberhome player must be getting "confused".

You can get a "regular" standalone DVD player for VERY cheap these days. Check out the "DVD Player Recommendation" thread in the Hardware forum for recommedations.

Good luck!

Peace...
