Blood and Black Lace wont load on DV-656a

My copy of Blood and Black Lace wont load on my DV-656a. It plays fine on my PC though.

Anyone else have problems with this?

It was brand new and clean....and even cleaned....still no go.

Errors out and ejects.

I also own a Pioneer DV-656a but I don't have this particular DVD. I'll rent it though and will give it a try and will report back here.

EDIT: Well, I can't rent this from Netflix so I'll see if I can find it at a local rental store. Is it a region 1 release?

Peace...

Yes it's the Region 1 Uncut European edition. So far, it's the only thing that's stopped my dv-656a.

Ok, then I'll see if I can find a copy somewhere to check out.

Did you buy it or rent it?

EDIT: Well, I'm having some problems finding a place that will rent it on DVD. So, if you're "ok" with sending me your copy I can try it on my player, report back here, and send it right back to you. I've done this in the past and I'm sure you can find someone here to "vouch" for me.

It's up to you...

Peace....

I'm pretty sure Blood and Black Lace is mastered in a way that messes up the dv-656a. I made a backup of it and the backup behaves exactly the same way.

Ok, then maybe you can send me the backup and I can see how it behaves and then I can send it back to you.

In the past, I've encountered particular DVDs that have given my players a problem. Other copies played just fine.

Peace...
