Tomb Raider 2 is unplayable

i got today my tomb raider 2 dvd and it's unplayable because there is a very ugly spot on the disc. this spot can't be removed without damaging the disc itself. i've heard from user people that they have the same problem so it comes to a factory problem.
imade a pic from my disc so you can see the spot. it's on the upper left side of the dvd.

does anybody else have this problem here?

I run a video store and received a notice that there was a "small" number of widescreen DVD's that are defective. My store personally received 8 damaged disks. If you contact the store you received it from they should be able to give you a 1-800 number that was set up for this problem and they will be able to ship you a new disk. I received my replacements 2 days after placing the call. Hope this helps!

OR...open it there in the store right at the counter just after you purchased it....most stores don't care they just think that you are crazy...but if you open it in front of them and they can see the spot, most will just tell you to get another disc off of the shelf and it's no big "Call so and so to get such and such pain in the a$$ big deal."
