Any reports of blueray and hd dvd's going bad yet?

There were some reports of Blu-ray discs rotting, but I think that ended up being an isolated incident.

How about the issue with the HD-DVD combo discs? Read something about it on the Digital Bits a few months ago, and it seemed to be a pretty widespread issue.

That had something to do with the thickness of the discs or something, but a firmware update fixed it.

I think it was more than thickness. I think there was a bad batch of Children Of Men and Good Shepherd out there, but Universal put a disc exchange program in place to swap out the bad copies.
