Denon Enters the Fray (Sort of)

Denon BD player and accompanying Receiver with 2 TB Hard Drive. Maybe the coolest thing I have seen since HD hit the streets.

Looks fake...no mention of it on the Denon site and it doesn't look like anything that Denon would put their name on.

...but who knows?...may indeed be for real.

It's essentially some graphic artist's mock-up supposedly for Denon.

Completely unverified, no word from Denon, at all.

Damn awful looking if you ask me, if it were to arrive looking like that, it better be the absolute best disc player (for any format) in the history of man for it to sit on my shelf.

The idiot can't even spell "Receiver."

If it is for real and not just some mock up, I think it looks way cool. If it's an actual production design, I wonder if all the controls are accessible via remote only? There doesn't seem to be any buttons on the front. Or maybe the front has a touch sensitive system of some kind. I guess only time will tell it these two are the real deal.

That is funny that receiver is misspelled. I guess graphic designers in Japan are not taught "except after C"

Typically, when you see spelling errors, it tends to be bogus.

I personally don't like it that much, mostly because of the slot-loaded disc design. I'd much rather have a tray, based on my experience with the slot-loaded player in my car.

With 2TB of storage, I think that this is going to be way over the $7K that we're all balking at for the receiver/amp combo.
