You know, this HDAO is honestly the cheapest and best way to get into High Def!

I've held off on buying 'real' players, I've held off on buying 'real' speakers for the room I enjoy this little $200 gadget with.

My video is probably more superior than audio in this room, wait...that's an understatement. Video rules, audio...meh...who cares. I dont think the speakers I use out there are bad enough to lessen the 'experience' of the awesome video presentation.

For $200 or less (assuming you own a 360) is to me the best option right now for anyone on the fence. How could you NOT enjoy HD at such a cheap rate given your display is HD capable?

Folks....it's a no brainer.

Agree. Love it or hate it, no HD disc I've seen bests King Kong neither & that title comes free.

I gave away my HD-A2 to my parents & they are not at all interested in buying high-def because they both do not see the advantage in picture over upconverted dvd. Ah well. They plan on buying a 1080p set & still have no interest in buying HD DVD or BD. Shame. If my folks are average JSP's both formats are doomed!

360 HDAO saves the day (again!) for me.

God I love this little thing.

My Toshiba HD-A35 decided to bite the dust on XMAS eve. Unresponsive to commands, lockups, etc with every disc after playing for 45 seconds.

I had the 360 addon hooked up to my PC for viewing HD DVD there, and I was able to simply move the addon from my PC back to my 360 which is connected to my home theater as a band aid until I get back my repaired HD-A35. HD DVD viewing goes uninterrupted on the big screen despite equipment failure! The versatility on this unit is fantastic with it able to work both on 360 and PC, it brings a lot to the table for its price.

Totally!
Since I moved and haven't finished building out my theater room yet, I've ONLY got the 360 +add on at my new place. It's an awesome little life saver.

It's a neat little device, but with the standalones hitting prices equal to or lower than the HDAO, it's benefits are decreasing quickly. Especially since I can't enjoy the newer audio codecs given my 360's lack of HDMI output.

However, I can see the benefit if you don't have any extra inputs available on your components.
