From what I've read about that brand, their support is like non existent. Better get the no questions asked exchange warranty.

Um, wasn't the $200.00 MSRP supposed to make this player be below that number? It's more expensive than an hd-a2 on amazon.

It is the cheapo brand. Problem is target is not the cheapo store. For instance, they are also charging full MSRP for the Sony BDP-S300 - $500 flat. So, while the Venturer is definitely not a "deal" compared to other deals on the net, for Target.com shoppers it still remains by far the cheapest way to get into hidef.

Of course, I'd recommend springing the extra cash for the HD-A3.
