Upscaling SD - Toshiba HD A3,A30,A35
I have read many of these great comments & reviews and persused product specs, but have one question that remains unanswered:
Do the new A3, A30, and A35 players all have identical SD DVD upscaling performance? I have read reviews that say the XA2 has the best upscaling, and the A35 has 'very nearly as good' upscaling performance. But if one doesn't need the extra capabilities of the A35, will the A3 do just as well in this area? I am looking to upgrade my SD player to an HD-DVD, but will most frequently be playing my 28 years of SD Star Trek SD DVDs, so upscaling is one major reason for upgrading. Thank you. |

See my recent thread on the A2, DS9 has some bad combing artifacts on it, and the A2 is the same player as the A3 other than asthetics. I'm waiting on the XA3, then I'll decide which player to get.

Can't comment on the A35's performance but I did notice a bit of an improvement from the A2 to XA2.
