XBR KDL-52XBR4 = Good for $2300?
XBR KDL-52XBR4 ??
Is this a brethren of the infamous KDS-60A3000? A friend at work was asking....I told him this is a flat panel unlike the Ruined Tv and oddly enough, he stressed depth which blew my mind. Inches and wall hanging versus what? 10-16" for the other? I think n00bs are into wall hanging all of a sudden..... On topic...hows this TV compare to the Ruined set? It's A LOT MORE $$$. Thoughts on my thoughts? |

This set is basically the same thing, same video engine, etc, except it is flat panel instead of projection and it is smaller. $2300 is a killer price for it, most stores are selling it for $3k+.
The fact that it costs so much more and basically is comparable (except for size, where it is smaller), is why I went the 60A3000 route. I'll gladly save $1200 for a bigger TV that can't hang on the wall. I know the hang-on-the-wall look is trendy, but when you have monolith sized main speakers it really doesn't matter.

I told him to go for it (it's bonus time at work) so we shall see. If anyone else is interested in this TV for the price, I'll get the link tomorrow.
(PS...my noob/hang on wall comment should have been phrased better...no offense folks) ![]() |
