Soon to be Blu players? What's coming?
Just wondering what new and fully compliant players are coming soon?
Which are touted to be killer and fully compliant? And please, no mention of the PS3. I'm talking standalone only. Why do I post this? Because my green needs to meet blu. Soon. |

The Denon DVD-3800BCI is compliant. If you have a receiver with built in decoders, the DVD-2500BTCI Transport is another option.

There are two new Sony models coming out this year, as well as a new Pioneer and Philips player - all 2.0 compliant, and priced below current model prices (the Philips model, for instance, will retail for $349).

http://panasonic.co.jp/pavc/global/blu-ray/dmp-bd50/ Meets the whole shebang final Blu-ray 2.0 spec unlike any other standalone on the market currently. Full decoders for all nextgen codecs. I've also heard that the "LFE Bug" will most likely be fixed with this player (and eventually the BD30 as well) from "insiders" on AVS. I will be picking up a BD50 when they are available.
