is the ps3 80 gb not available anymore?

This week at best buy, if you buy an hdtv, you can get a hundred off of a ps3. I noticed online that the 80 gig was not listed

There is a rumour going around that they are going to introduce a 120 or 160GB model soon...so maybe they are purposefully dwindling the supplies of the 80gb model for the time being? I have nothing to back this up it's all conjecture.

Of course Sony's going to say this until the 120/160 GB machines are officially announced

I have a 120 gig PS3. Replacing the hard drive is as easy as swapping a Blu-Ray disc.

Unfortunately replacing the lack of backwards compatibility with PS1/PS2 isn't.

Not anything I care about - but if I really need it, I'll just install Linux, and run an emulator. Or just wait for the inevitable Sony software update that adds full PS1/2 software emulation.

I didn't buy the PS3 to play many games (Gran Turismo is about it for me). For me, It's primarliy a media center, and secondly a device to test Blu-Ray authored discs. That it can play games, is purely a bonus for me.
