This is a bit after the fact, but iNetvideo.com had a 3 day sale on all their HD DVD titles. They ranged in price from $5.99 to $7.99. And get this, shipping was free! I scored 23 of them, averaging them out each one came out to $6.85. Now that's what I call one sweet deal!

Thanks for bringing the JR deal up. I picked up 2 movies for 10.99 and 1 for 15.99. Not bad for catalog or rebuys from dvd.

Just a heads-up to everyone, this deal is still on. They've removed the banner saying it was a time limited offer too.

Also: Canadians, your best bet is the inetvideo.ca site as opposed to the .com site. You'll not only get pricing in Canadian dollars, but they ship all .ca orders from Canada - so no customs.

Just so everyone knows, after doing the math, there really is no difference between inetvideo's deal plus shipping and 20% off deepdiscount prices. I had an order of 7 HD-DVDs ranging from 5.99-7.99 from inetvideo with a total price of $67 and the deepdiscount total price came to $67. Perhaps larger order would be slightly better.

Bah, all these sales are the same titles over and over again. I've already bought any of the ones I wanted at the last 50 sales on them. It's about time they freshen up what titles go on sale.

Agreed. Even BB is running pretty much the same promotion and that's been going on for almost a month. We just keep seeing the same sales with the same titles over and over.

I know, every time I see the BB display I get excited and then realize it's still the same titles. I've almost broken down and re-bought a few of the ones I had on hd-dvd (Goodfellas, Departed), but can't bring myself to quite yet. They keep shoving the same discs down our throats again I'll probably give in one of these days.

That's my fear. For now, I have been resisting, but it gets more enticing each week I go in there and see it. I am even tempted to buy a title I don't want just to get another I do want.

I'm a bit scared after the Gangs of New York disc. Kill Bill was another one known to have a horrible transfer, and if Disney is now just rehashing the same dvd transfers again, we may get a dud with this one too. Saving $10 is tempting, but I'm going to hold off till someone actually sees the disc. Disney can't be trusted anymore.

Caveat emptor, of course. The "good" news is that, as with GONY, there should be plenty of pre-release reviews, so if news isn't good one could cancel their preorder. Given that -- and at about 45% off MSRP -- this is too good a deal to pass up, IMO. And with any luck, as with GONY and many other Disney catalog BR reissues, there will be a $10/film rebate offer, bringing it all down to only $20. Fingers crossed on that, too.

Seriously though, Disney's output has not been nearly as active as other studios like Warner Bros, Sony, or Universal. I'm sure Disney has its fair share of shitty looking masters that they haven't released yet.
