Finally, Wal-Mart gets into the mix and prices on software start to drop. You'll notice that those $17.95 titles are the ones that WM is selling for $14.95.

Damn, that's a good sale at JR. If Star Trek wasn't coming up later this month I'd almost be tempted to splurge. Still might. Thanks for the tip.

Those wacky kids at Amazon are at it again with another Sony and Disney buy one get one free sale.

Disney Sale
Sony Sale

Beauty of it is, if you still get the 10% off early adopter discount, they apply it to both discs and then subtract the full price of the free one. I just scored two $19.95 discs for $15.96 and two $26.95 discs for $21.56. Yay me!
Wish they'd have one of these sales for Lionsgate. They have a lot of titles I'd like to have but not at the usual full price.

If you have a Frys in your area you might want to pop in there. Big blu-ray sale this weekend. A bunch of Fox titles on sale for $13.99, Sony's for $9.99 and Disney's for $13.49. This is the first sale of seen on Fox titles.

Off the top of my head the Fox titles on sale for $13.99 were:
The Fly
From Hell
Mr. Brooks
Night At The Museum
Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Day After Tomorrow
Eragon
Alien Vs. Predator
The Transporter
The Transporter 2

The Sony and Disney titles were the usual suspects that have been in the various sales lately.

Good sale at Amazon and almost made my break down and get the A35. But I had the same problem I've been having with a lot of their buy one get one sales lately. Namely, if it splits your order into more than one shipment because of location availability, it suddenly loses the deal. Even telling it to ship in as few as possble still gave me two shipments, so it lost the 10 free deal. I suppose I could call Amazon and get them to fix it, but I'm not that motivated. If they want my money they'll just have to fix their check out issues. Not really 10 discs to choose from in their selection that are worth anything anyway, that I don't already have.

If anything, Amazon will probably ship the player and the 3 free selections (of course 300/Bourne are in the player's box and the other 5 are mail-in) in one big box in one shipment, like when I bought my PS3 + 3 free from there a few months back.

When you check out it tells you how many shipments your order is in, so there's no guess work involved. It insists on sticking the player and one disc in one and the other two discs in another shipment, most likely because of what's in stock at different shipping facilities. And because of such, it only discounts one of the discs and not the other two even though they're in the same order. So no deal Amazon. I've had that problem with their blu-ray sales too. It usually takes me a while to find the right combination of orders in stock at any one location to properly get the free discs to show up.
As I look over the rebate form I see that I already own most everything on it that I'd want. And I already have 300/BI too. So the deal really isn't all that great for me. Though the price on the player is good enough to warrant an order. If only they'd fix the 1080p/60 issue.

I had this same thing happening to me. However, I figured out how to get around it. You have to activate 1 click ordering, and it will group them together. It was the way I was able to get a bogo purchase ordered.

Finally HD DVD gets a B2G1F sale, picked up 6 titles! Not quite a BOGO and BD has one too, but hey its still great! A shame as I already owned most of these - if I had waited I prob would have saved around $5 a title.

Wow, I've been waiting for a BOGO sale for HD-DVD, and now that there is one, I realize that there's really nothing left on the format that I want that I don't already have.
Wish they had some Fox titles in the blu-ray sale.

Anyone want to trade for a unopened blu-ray copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? I wound up with two of them thanks to christmas. I'm willing to trade for most anything I don't already have, could be blu-ray or hd-dvd, can be opened and watched as long as it's in good condition. So if you have a disc you bought as a blind buy and weren't crazy about, nows your chance to get rid of it.
