I was going to buy “Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang,” but Amazon has raised their price and are now more expensive than Best Buy.

However, CDuniverse.com has it for $29.52.

AMAZON now has several titles previously 23.99 marked down to 19.99 - making them $17.99 after the HDDISC10 coupon (buy 3 HD-DVDs with coupon=10% off all HD DVD orders for a year).

Apollo 13
Doom
Happy Gilmore
Pitch Black (Unrated Director's Cut)
Serenity

EDIT: more titles added for $17.99!

Best Buy in Canada has 90% of their HD DVDs on for $19 to $24 Canadian. I am not sure how long this price wil last.

I am going to start buying some soon even though I don't have a player yet.

Sahara and Sky Captain are back down to $19.86 at Amazon. Get them before they realize the price break.

I bought Sahara, cannot beat 10% off and free 2 day shipping.

Toshiba player is back down to $459.99 at amazon. Anyone know if I get the HDDISC10 discount on the player since I already have the discount for buying discs?

I think you can try the discount before you buy. Give it a shot and see.

I preordered Slither at that price. I can always cancel it too if the HD-DVD reviews are not so good, right?

Of course. But you will soon learn that "not so good" HD DVD reviews are a rarity

Yeah, I don't espect that either, but still, I am trying not to be in the business of buying every new release when I could be renting these titles on netflix. Just $23.49 is a really great price considering the cost of Tokyo Drift and other Universal new releases.

HD-A1 brand new for $412.88 + $25 shipping for a total of $437.88 from Electronic Expo which is related to Amazon in some way. Seems like the best deal going to me.

I think I still would rather just buy from Amazon for $459.99 and get it with 2 day shipping free.

Electronic Expo is an NJ based home theater store. I bought my player from their retail store, it works great.

Available at Fry's Electronics, good thru Tuesday, 8/29:

$14.99 - Enter the Dragon, Goodfellas

Price good only at brick-and-mortar stores. Doesn't seem to be reflected on their online site, Outpost.com.

How are Fry's prices normally on HD-DVD's? More in line with Best Buy or Amazon?

I think when stuff is not on sale, it's probably comparable. Last time I went to my local store, non-sale titles seemed to be around $25-28 as their regular price.

These $15 prices are among the cheapest I've seen so far at Fry's. They've only started to advertise sale prices for the HD-DVD titles in the last month. Not so much for Blu-Ray stuff yet.

I'll try to post the sales here regularly, whenever there are sales for $20 or less for the titles. They seem to only appear in the Friday ads so far, at least 2 or 3 times a month.

I payed $27.99 What's the point of pre-ordering a title if it is listed above $19.99? (excuding Combos) Excuse me rant.

btw, this title is my new reference disc for HD DVD.

Not the greatest but enough for me. Canadian HD- player lurkers. Future Shop seems to be getting rid of the HD-A1 players to make room for the newer models coming in a few weeks. 2 days ago the player was marked down from $700 to $600 and 2 days later (today) the HD-A1 is now $550 Cnd How truthful they were being with me could be a mystery but supposibly i got the 2nd last player at my local store.

If they price the A2 at $699, it makes sense for them to lower the price of the A1 by a couple hundred bucks. I'll pass & hold out for a 3rd gen if my A1 lasts that long.
