I just noticed that and find this thread EXTREMELY useful!!!!! I had no idea studio support for HD-DVD was that much more than WB, Universal, and Paramount. Peace...

I was parusing the bargin bin at Walmart today and came across HULK and it got me thinkning about the inevitable HD release. it would be so pretty and green. it was a Universal title right? so it will be out on HDDVD someday, correct ?
and what format does Fox support again? HD, Blu or none of the above ? I'd like me a Mr and Mrs Smith disc some day. |

And Hulk is planned for a likely November release along with King Kong and Waterworld from Universal. That is what the rumors are suggesting at the moment. Definitely, not in stone, not even announced, as we find that discs move from street dates all the time.
But it is definitely being prepped and planned for release soon.

Of course they are from the DVD version, I said I got them off the IGN DVD review. I put them up to give people an idea of how visually interesting and cool this film is.

I just watched United 93 and I must say that I am suprised that Universal did not release it on HDDVD on the same day as the DVD editions. I'll be very happy when an HD announcement is made. There are some DVDs that are looking so good right now, its going to be scary when I finally see the HD versions. I can't imagine United getting much higher def than what I just saw... but I know that its going to be better.
I'll be picking up HULK as soon as possible. I am considering Waterworld, but I already have the DTS DVD, so i dunno about getting that one, and I am eargerly awaiting news of an extended release of King Kong, so no Kong for me either. What happened to Corpse Bride? I havent seen it yet and was looking forward to it as I caught the trailer for it on an HD demo the other day and it looked gorgeous. |

Added Elvis Costello - Club Date: Live In Memphis & Toto - Live In Amsterdam for HD DVD & Blu-Ray.
No biggie, but note I put those titles under (Eagle Rock) instead of (Eagle Vision) as well as all other announced titles by Eagle Vision. |

No need for an update on this site.
![]() btw, Backdraft is available now. HighDefDigest is most of the time an accurate site for release news, but I've caught them making a few mistakes on both BD & HD DVD releases. I waited to see wether Amazon would ship Backdraft on the 12th before updating that release title. 3 sites (Active, DVDAf, Amazon) confirmed the 12th date & 3 (HD Blog, HighdefDigest, Digitalbits) confirmed the 19th for that title. Its the independant companies like BCI Eclispe that I'd like to read more news from various sites because they already pushed one of their titles back (That's the way of the World) from the 29th to Sept 12th. So if you don't see this title around various stores, please let me know. ![]() |
