The Break-Up (HD-DVD)
Video: 7.5/10
Audio (DD+): 8/10

An incredibly uneven transfer. Goes from brilliant to soft and flat.

First time watching back to back reference (imo) titles
I own the dvd versions of both & thought these probably would not look that much better in HD. So much for assumption.

HD Audio Dolby Digital Plus - 10/10

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)

Besides the price, what was wrong with it? Any pics of the Toshiba 62" 1080p DLP?

Congrats, again I guess.

Green Blob over Black scenes. The other may not be a technical one, but this set actually hurt my eyes after only an hour of viewing it. btw, this is the 4th tv I returned to BB.

Don't have a digi-cam, so click on the link to see this bad ass Toshiba. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-YJVg72X...display=XL#Tab

Nice disc all around, if a tad soft in places. I like the time bar that comes up when you pause, I'd like to see that feature on every disc.

Its a nice feature & I'd like to see more of it too.. unfortuantely, if you leave the disc on pause for about a minute, the disc skips to the Uni screen saver. I think Uni heard my crys. No music during the new screen savers. The MPEG-4 uni title "Interpreter" doesn't have a screen saver which makes me think that the disc was ready to go with its first release date & Uni didn't change a thing while the title was delayed.

12 Monkeys (1995)

HD Video - 7/10
HD Audio Dolby Digital Plus - 9/10

Quite disappointed with the PQ here. It is a step up from the dvd, but not by much. Artifacts gone, thats about it. Soft PQ & in some spots reminded me of The Perfect Storm. The audio on this disc was much more impressive.
