The average video rating I rated is more of an 8/10 or 3/5 star transfer. The audio is is more like SD. The old footage does look ok given its age & I am glad I picked this up because it is a very thorough documentary of NASA sinse 1961 through to the mid 90's. Its more of a source issue on the video side & interviews.. not a source issue.

If they could of improved the audio of the old school launches I'd give this a higher mark but if your fan of history, by all means give this one a look.

Just finnished watching
Commando
The Devils Rejects

I was very happy with both films they blew we away in both PQ and AQ my little regent simulated 5.1 system i got for $30 5+ years ago gave amazing sound having a real audio system must be out of the world. TDR blew me away even more as its newer of course. The movie was perfect for me. The grain added to the film made it alot bette.

This movie is a master peice it looks amazing, I love it. even with the specks this movie has it still shines in PQ. But I have not ask with such a steller movie why did'ent they clean it up more? Only reason I can think of is the specks and dirt is on the master and they prolly cant get rid of it, untill they do another master. Anyone have thoughts on this.

AUDIO(DTS-HDMA): 9.5/10 (Reference Quality for all Bolt TV Series scenes)

It was a slow start but once Rhino hits the screen all the great jokes/scenes come. Video i thought was good but not demo reference material like you see from Kung Fu Panda (style choice with filters) Still nothing i can fault the video on as it still looks good. The audio is actually a 6.1 and not the listed 5.1 DTS-HDMA track listed on the back. This disc has some "fully-awesome" demo worthy scenes for sound and they all come with the tv series scenes of BOLT. The rest of the film is still good but lacks the energy that you start off the movie with. So reference for TV series scenes and about a 8.5/10 for the rest of the movie. SO i thought a 9.5 overall would be a good score

Disappointing movie from coming off of Casino Royale. Needed more story and less action, and much better editing. Which i was surprised to see from Marc Forster previous movies (Stay, Stranger Than Fiction) Wish he had stayed with longer shots of the action and not tried the artsy tactic seen in the film. Maybe a 2nd viewing will do it better but for now it was just an ok popcorn flick.

Nothing real High Def about the film. Some shots do look nice when outside but overall an ok transfer. Audio was only DD for me as i watched at a friends house. Although i really don't think the TrueHD would of added much if anything to the track.

bloodstainedwings Actor Join Date: Aug 2007	Just finnished watching Commando The Devils Rejects I was very happy with both films they blew we away in both PQ and AQ my little regent simulated 5.1 system i got for $30 5+ years ago gave amazing sound having a real audio system must be out of the world. TDR blew me away even more as its newer of course. The movie was perfect for me. The grain added to the film made it alot bette. bloodstainedwings Actor Join Date: Aug 2007	CASINO PQ 9/10 AQ 10/10 This movie is a master peice it looks amazing, I love it. even with the specks this movie has it still shines in PQ. But I have not ask with such a steller movie why did'ent they clean it up more? Only reason I can think of is the specks and dirt is on the master and they prolly cant get rid of it, untill they do another master. SilentBob Silent Director/Silent Moderator Join Date: Feb 2002 Location: Burlington, Ontario	BOLT VIDEO: 10/10 AUDIO(DTS-HDMA): 9.5/10 (Reference Quality for all Bolt TV Series scenes) It was a slow start but once Rhino hits the screen all the great jokes/scenes come. Video i thought was good but not demo reference material like you see from Kung Fu Panda (style choice with filters) Still nothing i can fault the video on as it still looks good. The audio is actually a 6.1 and not the listed 5.1 DTS-HDMA track listed on the back. This disc has some "fully-awesome" demo worthy scenes for sound and they all come with the tv series scenes of BOLT. The rest of the film is still good but lacks the energy that you start off the movie with. So reference for TV series scenes and about a 8.5/10 for the rest of the movie. Needed more story and less action, and much better editing. Which i was surprised to see from Marc Forster previous movies (Stay, Stranger Than Fiction) Wish he had stayed with longer shots of the action and not tried the artsy tactic seen in the film.
