Starship Troopers?

That would be a Sony release. If I remember there was a US announcement which quickly got pulled for no reason.

Well it doesn't read GONY. May as well hang onto the disc, I can't imagine it'll be long until there is a region free BD player. Actually the LD dual format player is reported to play other region discs fine, but I'm not plunking down $800 for that.

Maybe its just Bandai Visual "B" titles that work. All I know was I was pissed to see the B on the Blu-Ray disc, but it worked.

Picked these up today

Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Ghost Rider is Marvel’s first comedy.

It acts more like a B-horror film than an actual adaptation of the comic. It has its moments, though. And it's miles better than Fantastic Four.

I had heard nothing good about it but it actually wasn't nearly as bad as it was made out to be. Besides, it's got Sam Elliott as the older rider, so that's worth it alone.

Ghost Rider does have a very cheesy light hearted sometime melo dramatic tone, but as a guy who grew up with Marvel comics including the 90's version of Ghost Rider, I think the movie really nailed the character.

I loved watching Ghost Rider do his thing, looking exactly like his comic incarnation.

The movie was so-so i thought. It had some cool moments but it also had some cheesy moments too. I will say though the PQ is pretty damn nice and after finally hearing both PCM/TrueHD tracks i will say they are indeed great as well.

Thanks for the Ghost Rider comments guys!

I picked up 28 Weeks Later, but couldn't find Robocop or The Fly. Sorry to rant it's ridiculous when I can find multiple copies of crap like Evan Almighty or Evening at every store but it appears two landmark '80s sci-fi films haven't been ordered anywhere in my state of residence.

Well, my last resort is to swing by Suncoast from college in about an hour, Robo is $30 on their website but on the .01% they have it in-store it'll probably be $40. No sale if so, bastard crooks.

I'll probably just have to do the online route.

Edward Scissorhands- I was thinking about buying this one. Is it that much better on Blu-Ray to warrant the higher price tag?

I feel like I should note to you guys in case you didn't know 98% of 28 Days Later on Blu-ray looks exactly like the DVD due to the primary medium it was shot on (poor 576i PAL video). Aside from the BD's audio upgrade, there's essentially no other difference from the cheap DVD.

Yeah, I read that over at AVS. I know that it's not going to be reference. I bought it anyway because I don't have it on dvd and have always wanted that title but never got around to buying it. I got it for $20 so I feel ok about it.

I caught the UPS man throwing the package ten feet from the road to my porch. I ran outside and screamed that I hope he burns in hell. Fuckin' prick.
