I've never had Amazon not replace a defective disc, and they even pay shipping back. Don't know why that should change now.

Thats good to know that Amazon keeps a good track record with their customers. Thanks for the feedback dugpa. This is the first time I've had to deal online with a damaged product.

I e-mailed them today & they got back to me today. They even shipped the new one today!

I don't have the PS3 version. It wasn't packaged with my PS3. I can't comment on that version.. but I don't see why the theatrical cut would look better or worse.. I agree with ya ganthc, Talledega Nights ain't that bad. I can name a lot more titles that look worse. I'm interested in plissken99's take too but I think he should see a handful of BDs first before making a judgement call

Well i did get the free copy of Talladega Nights in with my PS3 and after watching some HD-DVD movies before it the movie does fail PQ wise to the fair amount of other movies out there. I gave the movie PQ a 7/10. Overall i thought for the most part the movie looked pretty flat and dull looking, and yet some scenes (like Ricky over at Jean's house) looked just stunning with bright colours and 3D pop. Yet there weren't enough of those moments to keep me saying "wow now this is HD" to myself. Still it wasn't too bad of a presentation but i expected more.
