Actually, that works out. There are 7 discs, so 7x$10 is $70. If anything you're saving money. Also keep in mind that Heroes has a lot of HD exclusives that aren't on the SD set. Whereas Disturbia has the same bonus content on both the SD and HD versions.

That's true, but the SD set is selling for about $36 and the HD set for $56 (on Amazon with the TV Guide discount).

SD: $60 - $36 = $24 discount
HD: $100 - $56 = $44 discount

HD is better!

I am on the fourth disc right now. I can not stop watching.

Oh, the audio tends to get screechy for me on the high end. I read the review on HDD and they seemed to think the same:

"high-end is a bit too forced and sometimes sounds a bit screechy."

Overall, excellent transfer and i'm just enthralled to the point where I almost want to skip dinner just to watch. Or order take out, hehe.

There are some jaw-dropping, eye-popping scenes in this. There are also some very distracting grainy scenes (that seem to come out of no where), but still, i'd rate this (over the 8-10 episodes that i've seen so far) a good 4/5 on PQ.

I always noticed various grainy scenes in the HD broadcast as well. They seemed less frequent later in the season.

Is anyone else watching this on their 360's HD-DVD drive? I only ask because I had a problem with the second disk taking forever to load, and I was wondering if it was just me.

I have been having some troubles lately with the Heroes discs. My player just stays on "Welcome" for a very long time. I have to take out the power cord for about 5 minutes and then it loads fine.

This was with discs 3 and 4.

I love how you are typing your response with the HD-DVD there.

Well, just finished all 23 episodes. Great show can't wait for the next season. Actually, I will wait. I can only watch this in HD now

IT IS MY CURSE!

Great special features. Watched most of the disc 7 extras (the scoring was cool to me).

Finally dragged out the 50 foot ethernet cable and hooked up my player to the network. I can't say I'm too impressed with the web features. A stupid survey that looks like something you'd get off myspace and some trailers for films that for the most part are already out and gone. I only watched the Heroes Vol. 2 one, but to add insult to injury it was only SD. So far I haven't seen any convincing reason to leave my player hooked up to the net. At least I got the latest firmware update while I was at it.
Heroes on the other hand, looks really good. I'm only four episodes into but I'm hooked.

I finally got to disc two and had huge problems. I guess if you are online it downloads a cookie and if you cancel half way through you are basically screwed unless you clear the "cookies" from your HD-DVD drive and let it download the whole file. Which can take 10-20 minutes depending on your connection.
