Surely it should be called 'Hollywood in BD' since '..in HD' would indicate BOTH formats.

Not to give Sony's slimy marketing tactics any slack, but how is this different than this: http://thelookandsoundofperfect.com

Yeah, like Shawn said, it should be something like "Hollywood on Blu-ray"

Heck, I'd even be comfortable with "Hollywood in High Definition: Sponsored by Blu-ray Disc"

There have been a couple with matrixed rear channel, but no discrete 6.1/7.1. That isn't surprising, though, as 6.1/7.1 is virtually dead in Hollywood. Only a select few actually use it, while everyone else has gone back to 5.1. IMO, 6.1/7.1 is a gimmick and generally does more harm to the surround field than help when in a home theater environment.

Looks good, though they claim NO bias from one format to the other & claim ONLY Universal is HD DVD exclusive, so I commented on their blog with all studios (21 to 20 favoring HD DVD) & got a nice "those studios are not important"

All their trivia seems to be Blu. I'm sure their is something they could add for HD DVD.. geez off the top of my head,

Did you know The Bourne Supremacy was the first HD DVD title to have PIP "commentary/makin of" feature while you watch the film?

You know what's funny? This is a move right out of Divx's playbook - they came out with a similar Divx-sponsored website that did not identify itself as a Divx site but had all pro-Divx info + news + buy info, etc.

You obviously haven't heard "The Descent" or "Crank" audio tracks. They are perfect, and 6.1 PCM.

Why would you need an extra channel in the rear when the surrounds are perfectly capable of reproducing something sounding "behind" you if setup properly? (Think of how front speakers can create a "phantom" center if positioned properly).

If anything, putting surrounds behind you will make it more likely to localize and/or collapse the surround field (similar to how a center channel does for dialogue) and that is not a good thing for surrounds!
