I can recommend the BBC version for sure. I never saw the one on Discovery to see how Sigourney Weaver did.

The one out now is the BBC, and original version.
The Discovery Channel version is dumbed down a bit and edited a little differently "for Americans." I have only seen the BBC version but it's certainly the version I would recommend.

I've been watching the one narrated by Sigourney Weaver on the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet channel. She does a fine job with it. Haven't watched or heard the BBC version yet.

They weren't terrific on the bd version either. But since the blu-ray disc has the protective layer, it didn't scratch like the hd-dvd versions did. The scratches supposedly didn't affect playback, but for those that like flawless discs, it was annoying. I think PH struggled with this one.
